BabyCakes Cupcakes

BabyCakes Cupcakes first open in 2009 as Lexington’s first locally owned cupcake bakery. The bakery offers a range of cupcake flavors that are baked fresh and from scratch using only real fruit and organic ingredients. Cupcakes are $30 a dozen and should be preordered two days prior to pickup. The bakery also provides gluten free, vegan and sugar-free options. Cupcake towers can be prepared for weddings.

Backroads Bakery Cheesecake

With over 40 specialty cheesecakes to choose from, Backroads Bakery Cheesecake has something for everyone. Flavors include chocolate, blueberry streusel, strawberry, cherry, snickers, salted caramel, Oreo, keylime, and many more. Cant pick a flavor? Check out the chef’s pick that has 10 different slices selected by the baker. Not in the mood for cheesecake? That’s fine, they also have a variety of cakes and cupcakes.

Caramanda’s Bake Shoppe

This local bakery, family owned and operated, offers an array of cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other baked goods. Fully custom cakes for birthdays, weddings and other special events are available for pickup or delivery. Need it sooner? The shop, which recently moved to bigger location, has daily cupcake flavors available and same-day orders can be processed in two hours.

Desserts by Rebecca

Desserts by Rebecca in downtown Georgetown opened its brick and mortar shop in 2019. The bakery serves cakes, cookies, pies, brownies, puddings, candies and other specialties that are available for custom preorder. Cake flavors include caramel, carrot, coconut cream, German chocolate, Kentucky bourbon butter, white chocolate raspberry, triple chocolate, Italian cream, red velvet and custom Drippy Cakes with extra icing cascading down the sides. Prep times vary, but you can request a “rush” custom order if you need it faster.

Donut Days Bakery

Donut Days Bakery has been in the business for 50 years, and they sell much more than just doughnuts. This classic Lexington Bakery offers custom decorated sheet cakes, cupcakes and iced cookies. You can even find King Cakes here during Mardi Gras. A couple even got married there and of course, had some wedding cake made by the local bakery.

European Delights Bakery

Since 2010, this immigrant-owned family bakery has been serving thousands of cakes, cookies and pastries weekly. Orders for 8-inch cakes should be made two days in advance, but if you need a larger size, you should call the store. Flavors include carrot, chocolate mouse, German chocolate, Oreo, peanut butter, red velvet, strawberry white chocolate mousse and more.

La Petite Délicat

Do you love macarons? La Petite Délicat can make macaron-styled tower cakes for any occasion you are celebrating. The bakery makes numbered cakes, 6 or 8-inch round cakes and other macaroon shapes. Buttercream options include vanilla, strawberry, cookies and cream, raspberry and blackberry. The bakery also serves sponge cake rolls, classic cakes and baby smash cakes.

Martine’s Pastries

Martine’s Pastries has been a Lexington staple since 1999. Featured in Martha Stewart’s Real Weddings and Kentucky Bride, this bakery serves celebration cakes, specialty cakes and wedding cakes in a variety of flavors and colors. Celebration cakes in flavors yellow raspberry, champagne strawberry, triple chocolate and pistachio are premade and available at anytime. For additional flavors, rolled fondant icing and custom designs, you can order specialty cakes that are priced by intricacy of design. Wedding cakes come in over 10 flavors with many fruit and mousse fillings, and rolled fondant for an additional cost. Wedding cake orders and delivery options should be made in advance.

Panaderia Aguascalientes is a Mexican bakery that serves fresh breads, pastries and cakes daily. This bakery offers traditional Mexican favorites like flan and tres leche cakes daily, or you can order a custom cake in advance.

Through consultations and taste tests, chefs Cameron and Tracie can help you decide what style and flavor of cake you want for the big day.
