JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Schools in Jessamine County could soon become mask optional.
The Jessamine Journal reports that the board of education announced Monday night that they will be removing the mask mandate Monday, November 1 if active COVID-19 case numbers stay low.
It’s reported that from October 17-22, there were twelve active cases in the school system.
According to the paper, Jessamine County schools will monitor coronavirus data over the next few days, and if the trend continues, the mandate will be removed.
