LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – South Main Street in Lawrenceburg remains closed to the public as crews work to clear hazards following a gas leak. The affected area extends from West Woodford Street to Chautauqua Street, and the closure is expected to last for an unknown period of time.

The Lawrenceburg Police Department is urging everyone to continue avoiding the area. All businesses and residences within the affected zone have been evacuated and are currently closed.

Anyone in the immediate vicinity is requested to evacuate immediately. The public is advised to stay clear of the area until further notice.
